MINISO and BTS SkyTrain celebrate the holidays with Christmas-themed trains
MINISO and BTS SkyTrain want commuters to feel the Christmas cheer as soon as they board the train. So they decorated one of the operational trains into something more festive to match the holiday spirit. By painting one of the SkyTrains with MINISO’s distinct red colour, along with their cute mascots, commuters can enjoy the holiday ride as they go out and about the Bangkok metropolitan area.
Members of the MINI Family like Penpen the penguin and Pickle the Shiba Inu are all smiles as they greet commuters on the platform at Terminal 21 Rama 3. Upon boarding the MINISO-themed BTS SkyTrain, the cute mascots will have murals of them inside the train to help commuters enjoy the ride. Make the commute more festive by taking their pictures!
More Christmas celebrations from MINISO
However, MINISO didn’t stop at the trains to celebrate the holidays! The brand also built a gigantic Christmas tree in Terminal 21 Rama 3 that’s made of MINISO plushies. Those who happen to pass by can pin their wishes and New Year’s resolutions on the gigantic tree as well.
This holiday campaign by MINISO also found its way into other parts of the world. In Mexico City, a red pickup truck roamed around the streets with Penpen the penguin boarded at the back. The mascot handed out a few gift bags to lucky recipients.
In Florence, Italy, double-decker buses had the MINI Family onboard. There’s also an interactive game to find the mascots around the city through augmented reality, where players can win prizes from the lifestyle brand.
