What Is Rainforest Wild Adventure?

Billed as Asia's first adventure-based zoological park, Rainforest Wild Adventure spans two zones — East and West — across 20 hectares within Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

The newly launched East zone draws inspiration from the forests and savannahs of Africa and Madagascar, rounding off a decade-long redevelopment of the reserve.

A single ticket gets you into both zones, with shuttle transfers included. Beyond the sheer spectacle of it all, the park is doing important conservation work. Nearly 75 per cent of its almost 60 resident species are threatened, and Mandai actively supports global breeding and conservation programmes across the board.

Adventure Activities Across the Park

If spotting rare wildlife isn't enough to get your heart rate up, the five adventure elements woven throughout the park definitely will. Each activity is embedded into its themed zone, so the thrills and the wildlife watching happen side by side — which makes for a surprisingly seamless experience.

Canopy Glider (Riverine Forest)

Glide through the treetops up to 8 metres above ground for sweeping views over the Afro-tropical landscape and the Diana monkey habitat below. It's the kind of perspective that makes you feel like you've earned your entrance fee.

Ravine Swing (Red Ravine)

Swing up to 8 metres high and get that stomach-dropping sensation of weightless flight, all while spotting Nile lechwes, eastern bongos, and African painted dogs going about their day beneath you.

Split Rock Summit and Adventure Trampoline (Lemur Land)

Climb vertical rungs to reach 11 metres above ground for expansive views, then bounce across the adventure trampoline for good measure. This one is a crowd-pleaser across all ages. Don't let anyone tell you the trampoline is just for kids.

Treetop Traverse (Hidden Forest)

Cross suspension bridges and rope nets while keeping a sharp eye out for the elusive okapi in its naturalistic habitat. It's gentler than the other activities, but no less engaging.

Beyond the Animals: What Else to Do

Mandai has quietly become one of Singapore's most packed full-day destinations, and Rainforest Wild Adventure is just one piece of the puzzle. Also on the grounds is Exploria, one of South-east Asia's largest indoor nature-themed multimedia attractions, which takes you through five immersive worlds — from Arctic tundras to prehistoric habitats — across 10,000 sq m. Then there's the Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue, Singapore's first Asia stop for the globally touring walkthrough, where guests navigate eight story-driven rooms armed with an interactive Orb. No Minecraft knowledge needed; the collaborative format works well for all ages, though do note that sessions are structured around groups of six to nine, so smaller groups may be paired with strangers. Check Mandai's official website for the latest bundle deals before you book.

Opening Promotions and Ticketing

As part of their opening promotion, all tickets come with complimentary access to 9+ Adventure+ high elements (typically worth $10 each) and $10 in F&B and retail vouchers.

Adult tickets: $50
Child and Student tickets: $35

A single admission ticket covers both the East and West zones, shuttle access included. Prices and opening hours are best confirmed directly on Mandai Wildlife Reserve's official website before your visit, as details may be updated.

Plan Your Visit Now

Rainforest Wild Adventure is, without question, the most ambitious addition to Singapore's wildlife tourism scene in recent memory. Between Africa's rarest animals making their South-east Asian debut, treetop adventure activities, immersive themed zones, and the option to glamp overnight overlooking a ravine, it makes a very compelling case for a full-day outing.

If Mandai hasn't been on your radar for a while, consider this your sign to go back.
