According to a recent report, Malaysia welcomed over 10 million international travellers between January and March 2025. This impressive achievement is largely credited to the country’s new visa relaxation policies, which have made travel more accessible.

For Singaporean travellers, the news comes as no surprise. The report highlights that more than 4.9 million visitors from Singapore crossed the border in the first three months of the year, cementing their position as Malaysia’s most frequent international guests. Following closely behind were travellers from China and Indonesia. Notably, Malaysia welcomed nearly 1.8 million Chinese visitors during this period and extended visa-free entry to Indian tourists until 2026.
