Planning a quick getaway this summer? Hong Kong is rolling out its annual Hong Kong Summer Fun campaign, packed with limited-time festivals, family-friendly attractions, blockbuster football matches and exclusive travel deals until 31 August 2026.

Football fans will have plenty to cheer about as the Hong Kong Football Festival 2026 returns from 31 July to 5 August.

Four European football giants: Manchester City, Chelsea FC, FC Internazionale Milano and Juventus, will take to the pitch at Kai Tak Stadium, with two blockbuster matches and open training sessions by Manchester City and Chelsea giving fans a chance to see their favourite teams up close.

Meet Giant Pandas and Enjoy Family-Friendly Attractions

Families can celebrate the birthdays of giant panda twins Jia Jia and De De at Ocean Park Hong Kong during the Pandastic Summer Birthday Celebration, running from 26 June to 31 August.

The park will be transformed with panda-themed decorations, interactive experiences and plenty of photo opportunities featuring all six of Ocean Park's giant pandas.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong Disneyland is hosting its first-ever Pixar Summer Fest until 31 August, featuring a brand-new Pixar-themed nighttime spectacular, character meet-and-greets, themed dining experiences and the park's largest-ever "Friendtastic!" parade.

New Experiences to Add to Your Itinerary

If you're looking beyond the usual attractions, there are several new experiences worth checking out.

Families can visit Bubble Planet Hong Kong, an immersive attraction opening at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on 29 June, featuring colourful bubble-themed installations, optical illusions and interactive digital experiences.

Over at M+, the new Design Ah! Experience the Wonder of Everyday Design exhibition invites visitors to rediscover everyday objects through hands-on exhibits and interactive installations. The exhibition runs until 10 January 2027.

Celebrate Hong Kong's Biggest Dragon Boat Festival Yet

One of the city's signature events, the Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with its biggest edition yet.

Running from 19 June to 1 July, the festival features dragon boat races on Victoria Harbour alongside a lively waterfront atmosphere complete with food stalls, beer gardens, cultural workshops and photo spots along the Avenue of Stars.

To make holidays even more rewarding, the Hong Kong Tourism Board is offering a range of exclusive promotions through its Summer Deals programme.

Visitors who book participating Hong Kong hotel stays through Trip.com can enjoy discounts of up to 50% on selected attractions and transport, subject to minimum spending requirements.

Travellers can also redeem shopping and dining rewards worth up to HK$500 through the AlipayHK, Alipay and Alipay+ promotion at participating malls and merchants across Hong Kong.

In addition, limited-time dining promotions, buy-one-get-one-free offers and special deals from as low as HK$1 or HK$10 will be available at selected retailers and restaurants throughout the campaign.
