5. Dine at TAPAK, home to a variety of food trucks

Enjoy a wide variety of food from around the world at TAPAK, a food truck park along Jalan Ampang, just a stone’s throw away from Element KL. Open 7 days a week from 6pm to midnight (3am on Fridays and Saturdays), you can swing by for dinner or for a late night snack if you’re feeling peckish. Tables and chairs are provided so you can dine here, or you can get takeaway to bring back to the hotel if it’s raining.

You can have a plate of sinful char kway teow skilfully fried by an old hawker, or try Malaysian-style Bak Kut Teh with its rich herbal flavours. For more choice, opt for lok lok, which are skewers of meat and vegetables that you choose for the stall vendors to cook, which you then dip into your choice of sauces. You’ll definitely be spoilt for choice here.

For the shopaholics, Suria KLCC is a short 15-minute walk away from the hotel. With over 300 retail shops, an underwater aquarium and a science centre, you can easily spend an entire day here. If you have a slightly larger budget, you can also visit Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which is another 15 minutes away and features renowned fashion labels like Givenchy, Prada and Versace.
