Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena has soft-opened in Singapore, marking Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ third property in the country and giving travellers a new stay option on the city fringe.

Set in the Balestier-Novena area, the 365-key hotel has undergone a major renovation from its former identity as Value Hotel Thomson. It now welcomes guests with refreshed rooms, modern in-room features and a location that offers convenient access to local food, heritage streets, medical facilities and public transport connections.

The hotel is scheduled for an official launch in August.

A refreshed stay in Balestier and Novena

Located in one of Singapore’s lesser-explored heritage districts, Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena is a practical base for travellers seeking more than the usual Orchard Road stay. Guests can explore Balestier’s well-loved local food spots, traditional trades and historic streets, while still staying within easy reach of the city via bus and MRT connections.

According to Keane Sua, spokesperson for Worldwide Hotels, which owns the property and manages it under a franchise arrangement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the hotel is designed for “aspiring travellers”, referring to value-conscious guests who are beginning to explore neighbouring destinations and are keen to experience what Singapore has to offer.

To help guests better discover the surrounding neighbourhood, the hotel is also working with an experienced tour operator to develop a walking trail around Novena and Balestier. The trail is expected to introduce travellers to local stories, disappearing trades and favourite foods across generations.

Modern rooms with AI-powered features

Guestrooms at Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena have been refreshed with ambient lighting and an AI-powered voice assistant, which allows guests to control lighting and access hotel information more conveniently.

These touches give the hotel a more contemporary feel while keeping it within the mid-tier segment, making it suitable for travellers looking for comfort, convenience and value in Singapore.

Promotional rates during the opening period start from S$122, with room rates expected to remain within the “100-plus” range outside high peak travel periods.

Designed for leisure and medical travellers

The hotel is also courting medical travellers, thanks to its location near three hospitals and several private clinics. This makes it a convenient base for guests visiting Singapore for healthcare appointments, specialist consultations or recovery stays.

To support this audience, the hotel offers wellness mats that use infrared heat, which are designed to help promote pain relief, blood flow and tissue healing. Its spacious rooftop outdoor fitness circuit also gives guests a place to move, stretch or continue light physical activity during their stay, while enjoying unblocked views of Singapore’s older and newer neighbourhoods.

Part of Wyndham’s growing Singapore presence

With the opening of Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts now has three brands represented in Singapore, alongside Wyndham and Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

The hotel will also benefit from Wyndham’s global distribution network, revenue management support, training initiatives and quality management programmes under the franchise agreement.

While Singapore remains a competitive and limited-development market, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has indicated it remains open to suitable conversion opportunities to further grow its presence in the country.

For now, Days Inn by Wyndham Singapore Novena adds a fresh option for travellers seeking a convenient, value-led stay near Singapore’s medical hub and heritage-rich Balestier district.
