These Fashion Brands Are Cheaper in JB Than Singapore, Here's How Much You Actually Save
Before splurging on new drip, make sure to check out their JB prices first!
Not everything in Johor Bahru (JB) is cheaper than in Singapore. International brands in particular have a reputation for standardising prices across borders as part of their franchise agreements.
However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. Several popular brands sell at notably lower prices in JB than in Singapore, and you save enough on the price difference to justify making the trip across the Causeway. Read on for the full list of brands, and exactly how much you'll save.

Why Shopping For Brands In JB Still Pays Off In 2026
Despite the Malaysian ringgit strengthening against the Singapore dollar in recent times, many international fashion brands continue to price their products lower in Malaysia. Beyond currency conversion, differences in regional pricing strategies and independent promotional calendars contribute to lower prices for certain brands in JB than in Singapore.
Brands That Are Cheaper in JB Than Singapore
Shopping at these five brands in JB consistently beat Singapore's prices, supported by several creators on Lemon8 and TikTok. That said, savings differ greatly by item type. Read on for the full analysis and recommendations to make a beeline for.
H&M

H&M remains one of the most reliable stops for cost-savvy JB shoppers. A button-down shirt that costs S$49.90 in Singapore goes for RM149.90 (around S$45) in JB, saving you roughly S$5. That gap has narrowed slightly compared to 2025, when the same shirt was priced at RM129. Baggy jeans, however, now start from RM129.90 (around S$39) in JB, versus S$49.90-59.90 here.
Zara

Zara's price gap is consistent across categories. A basic heavyweight T-shirt costs S$39.90 in Singapore but only RM109 (around S$33) in Malaysia, a saving of close to S$7 on a single item. Plain shirts drop from S$75.90 to RM219 (around S$66) in JB, and cargo trousers fall from S$99.90 to RM269 (around S$81).
Zara has outlets in several major JB malls, including Mid Valley Southkey and AEON Tebrau, making it simple to work a visit into your itinerary.
Uniqlo

Uniqlo has a few surprising price changes compared to previous years. The AIRism Oversized T-shirt now costs RM59.90 (around S$18) in Malaysia, making it slightly cheaper than in Singapore (S$19.90).
Meanwhile, baggy jeans remain cheaper in JB at RM149.90 (around S$45) versus S$59.90 in Singapore, and open-collar shirts drop from $39.90 in Singapore to RM99.90 (~S$30) in JB. Chino pants follow the same pattern: $49.90 in Singapore versus RM129.90-149.90 (~S$39-45) in JB.
Just in case of seasonal promotions, always check the Uniqlo Singapore app first, but overall, JB has a bigger advantage over Singapore's stores in 2026.
Cotton On

Cotton On's basic Everyday Fit T-shirt now has a listed price of S$34.99 in Singapore (up from S$19.90 in 2025), though you can frequently get it as a 2-for-S$40 promotion. In JB, the same shirt is priced at RM99 (~S$30), also on a 2-for-RM120 bundle. While the gap has narrowed, JB still comes out cheaper on a per-item basis.
Jeans have risen sharply in both markets: the Super Baggy Jean now costs S$89.99 in Singapore and RM279 (around S$84) in JB, both subject to a buy-one-get-one-50%-off promotion. Hoodies remain at S$69.99 in Singapore, versus RM219 (~S$66) in JB.
JB keeps an edge over Singapore on price, but savings are smaller than they were a year ago.
Levi's

Levi's prices have actually dropped significantly since last year, making a strong case for visiting their stores on either side of the Causeway. Their iconic 501 jeans are now cheaper in both JB and SG, retailing at S$139.90 and RM359 (around S$108) respectively, saving JB shoppers S$32 on a single pair.
Denim jackets have had an even more dramatic price drop: the Men's Trucker Jacket now costs S$114.90 in Singapore and RM299 (around S$90) in JB.
T-shirts have sadly moved in the opposite direction: they're now S$49.90 in Singapore for the Red Tab Vintage Tee (up from S$39), while JB prices range from RM89-99 (~$27-30).

Always check for ongoing promotions in Singapore before assuming JB will be cheaper. Uniqlo and Cotton On in particular run frequent bundle deals that can shift the calculation. Levi's and Uniqlo both have active sales in 2026, so it is worth doing a quick comparison before you cross.
When you do make the trip, head to malls such as Mid Valley Southkey, AEON Tebrau and Paradigm Mall for the widest selection of these brands. These malls are easy to reach from the Causeway and offer enough variety to make the journey worthwhile even if you change your mind halfway.
Editor's note on pricing: All prices are sourced from official brand websites (May 2026). SGD equivalents for MYR prices use an approximate rate of S$1 = RM3.31. Prices are subject to change and may vary by store location and ongoing promotions.
