If you know me, you’ll know that I have been a little bit obsessed with matcha recently. There’s just something about that earthy, creamy goodness that hits the spot every time, especially on a slow afternoon. Over the months (and many, many cups later), I’ve found a few places in Singapore that do a really good matcha latte, from the bold umami to the smooth and subtly sweet. Here are my personal favourites.

1. Hvala

This one’s a classic for a reason. I think Hvala serves some of the best quality matcha in Singapore. The matcha is freshly whisked in front of you upon ordering. Rich, smooth, and just the right amount of umami with subtle floral hints. The price point is fair, too, especially for the quality you’re getting. It’s my go-to in town when I want a proper cup of matcha.
Address: Multiple outlets, but I frequent the one at Takashimaya Shopping Centre | 391 Orchard Rd, #B2-28, Singapore 238872
2. No Strangers Here
![]()
Just a short walk from Haji Lane, No Strangers Here is where I go when I’m craving something a little different. Although they use pre-prepared whisked matcha, their strawberry matcha latte is creamy, well-balanced, and slightly indulgent. Other than strawberry matcha, they also have unique flavours such as charcoal matcha, blue matcha and coconut & matcha. Perfect for a quick cafe stop when you are photobooth hopping with your friends at Haji Lane.
3. Kyo Kohee
![]()
If you like Hvala’s style, you’ll probably enjoy Kyo Kohee too. I only tried this once, but their matcha has that same deep, quality taste, though it comes at a slightly steeper price. Still, it’s worth it when you’re in the mood for a luxurious cup.

4. brwd / KINN
![]()
A solid choice for strawberry matcha fans, bwrd/Kinn serves one that’s simple yet satisfying. It doesn’t try too hard, just a nice, smooth blend that always hits the right notes.
Address: 69 Keong Saik Rd., Singapore 089165 | 5 Hongkong St, Singapore 059648
5. A Slow Cup
![]()
A Slow Cup is such a hidden gem, quite literally, since it’s located inside a nail salon. I love the quiet, calming atmosphere here. Their strawberry matcha is beautifully balanced, too, not overly sweet, just smooth and comforting.
Address: The Cathay, 06-06 (Google Maps has not updated its new outlet yet, so refer to their official Instagram)
6. Maru Mochi
![]()
This one holds a special place on my list because Maru Mochi collaborated with Matchaya, and the result is a sweeter matcha that remains incredibly good. I once drank their matcha three times a week (no regrets).
Address: 200 Victoria St, B1-12A, Singapore 188021 | 67 Jurong West Central 3, B1-85, Singapore 648333
7. Sugar Belly
![]()
Sugar Belly was popular on TikTok because you could fill your cup yourself using their matcha tap. Sugar Belly’s matcha leans slightly grassy, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not the most intense cup, yet it’s one of those “simple but good” options that you can always count on when you are in the east side.

8. Luckin Coffee
![]()
For a quick fix, Luckin Coffee actually does a pretty decent matcha for the price. While it may not reach artisan-level quality, but when you’re in a rush or between errands, it’s surprisingly satisfying. Besides, there are so many outlets of Luckin Coffee scattered all around Singapore, so it’s convenient to get a cup to satisfy your cravings.

9. Kora Bakehouse

I was really excited to try their matcha. Kora Bakehouse has some really fun flavours, think matcha with mango and strawberry in one cup. It sounds a bit out there, but it works! It’s bright, fruity, and perfect when you want something different. There was a 1 for 1 offer when I went down. Do check their socials for these type of discounts!

10. Spring Coffee

A newer favourite of mine, Spring Coffee freshly prepares their drinks in-house, and you can really taste the difference. I tried their mango matcha, and it was so beautifully balanced. The mango had just the right touch of sweetness and complemented the matcha perfectly. It’s refreshing without being overly fruity, and honestly, such a delightful surprise.

Final thoughts
These are my favourite matcha spots across Singapore, each with its own personality. Whether you like it sweet and creamy or earthy and pure, there’s a cafe out there with your name on the cup.
Of course, there are plenty more matcha spots around the city, but these are definitely the best ones in my opinion. If you’ve got a favourite I missed, I’d love to hear it (and maybe add it to my next matcha hop)
