More than three quarters of Singapore’s population has received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccinations. With that, the country is piloting vaccinated travel lanes (VTL) with Germany and Brunei on 8 Sep 2021 as it prepares to be a COVID-19 resilient nation. Under this arrangement, fully vaccinated travellers departing from the above mentioned countries can enter Singapore without serving a stay-home notice.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the vaccinated travel lanes will apply to all travel purposes, including business, leisure and family visitations. In place of stay-home notice, fully vaccinated travellers will have to undergo multiple COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests prior to departure, on arrival, and post-arrival.
Additionally, an individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the full regimen of the Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty or Moderna vaccine, or other vaccines in the World Health Organisation’s Emergency Use Listing.
