New York City is known as an international epicentre of glitz and glamour. It is also one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Not to mention, you’d really earn yourself major bragging rights if you visited the City that Never Sleeps during your USA travels.

The famous five boroughs of the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn are home to cultures from different parts of the globe. Around 700 distinct dialects are spoken in New York, outlining the melting pot of people and history found in the city. This exceptional diversity naturally finds its way into the city’s culinary offerings. For instance, travellers can easily find bagels and coffee sharing spaces with European, Asian, African, and Mexican flavours.

New York also has one of the most famous USA attractions to experience. The Empire State Building and The Statue of Liberty are two landmarks you ought to put on your radar. Central Park is another fantastic destination to commune with nature. The greenspace offers a wondrous display of wildlife and even an urban zoo to visit.

Another rule of thumb when you’re in New York: Visit the museums! NYC is rightly regarded as a cultural leader because it places great value on the arts. The Museum of Modern Art aka MOMA provides a world-class art collection and is identified as one of the world’s best modern art spaces. If you only have time for one museum in the Big Apple, MOMA would be it.

Don’t even think about excluding Times Square in your New York itinerary. Located in the mid-point of Manhattan at the intersection between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, it’s the number one USA attraction for tourists; after all, it’s the home of Broadway musicals, an ultimate shopping destination, and where many public events take place. All of the lights and action make for an unforgettable experience.

Above all, LA is home to Hollywood and its many world-famous celebrities that everyone seems to want to meet in person. Maybe this would be your chance!

Another major tourist highlight in California is San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. This landmark piece of construction is an iconic symbol of the opening up of America’s west. You should also take the opportunity to tour the impressive Californian coastline, the Redwood National Park, and appreciate Lake Tahoe.
