Calling all foodies! For the second year running, a culinary extravaganza will take place at Resorts World Sentosa to delight critics and titillate taste buds. Taking place from 27 to 30 September,  the Great Food Festival promises an all-star line up of acclaimed chefs and a tantalising selection of extraordinary dishes by talented chefs.

Watch seasoned professionals impart their impeccable skills through their masterclasses so that you may replicate their amazing dishes, or at least attempt to. Get the full experience as they prepare your meal right in front of you and savour the delights of their culinary genius.

The festival is divided into three main areas, Star Chef Arena, Rollin’ Sweet Times and The Cellar. Head over to the Star Chef Arena to meet your favourite celebrity chef as they whip up culinary delights, give masterclasses and collaborate with each other!

For those with a sweet tooth, Rollin’ Sweet Times is the best place to start, with incredible desserts awaiting you and famous patissiers and bakers coming in from all over the world including social media acclaimed, Topless Baker, Matt Adlard. Wine connoisseurs must definitely make a stop at The Cellar which offers a delightful range of unique wine pairings with various cheeses and cold cuts.

1. Baked Lamb with Peppermint Black Pepper Sauce

With multiple awards to his name, Sam Leong from FOREST森 will be offering a tender rack of lamb marinated and baked with lemongrass and cumin to awe meat lovers. The lamb is accompanied by a black pepper sauce with an edge provided by the perfumed notes of peppermint.

2. Sparkling Frozen Yoghurt 

If you think all frozen yoghurt is as cookie-cutter as Yami Yoghurt, Kenny Kong from Sessions is about to knock your understanding of frozen yoghurt out of the park. Well known for his fantastical desserts, he plans to bring the magic to the Great Food Festival with items like sparkling frozen yoghurt! Remember to take a shot for the ‘gram before you start on this fairy-like creation!

3. Crab Cake Slider

Cat Cora is the first woman to be inducted into the American Academy of Chefs Culinary Hall of Fame; on top of that she wears many hats as a television host and best-selling author, among others. Her artfully-composed crab cake slider consists of blue swimmer crab and a dollop of mango chutney cream with curry, reflecting a cooking style is constantly reinventing itself.

4. Dome Cakes and Macarons 

Even if you aren’t hungry, how can you resist such adorable creations? Andres from Baked by andres is famous for her cute designs and irresistible array of cakes, macarons and other desserts! Beautifully-designed cakes and sweet treats that look like our favourite cartoon characters? Take all our money!

5. Suckling Pig

Chef de cuisine, Benjamin Halat, from CURATE presents this edible masterpiece that constructs an artistic dish made from suckling pig, rye bun, cabbage salad and mustard. As a chef that works to reinvent German cuisine with modern twists, the dishes that he produces promise a novel gastronomic experience.

6. Chicken Kao Soy Noodle

Tangerine’s Ian Kittichai delivers a local dish of Thai style chicken breast curry with noodle in Kao soya sauce. But don’t expect the same old flavours you’d normally get! The Thai celebrity chef is known for his varied cooking style and eclectic techniques that put a new spin on classic dishes, so be prepared to be surprised.

7. Textures of Coconut

Chef Joe Leong brings his experience with molecular gastronomy and other modern techniques to the Great Food Festival with unique dessert creations that reinvent the traditional. Textures of Coconut is just one of his many brilliant creations that rework familiar Chinese ingredients into an innovative, new dessert.

8. Capellini topped with Mentaiko and Nori

Scott Webster from Osia Steak and Seafood Grill has a jet-setting resume that has taken him from famous restaurants in Europe to Canada, resulting in the chef’s international range of food. This year, he introduces a brand new item to the Great Food Festival, a capellini that is gently flavoured with mentaiko and nori, giving rise to a subtle yet brilliant dish.

9. Tonno Tataki, Bagna Cauda, Crumble di Pistacchi

Brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea hail from a family of culinary excellence, with three Michelin stars to their father’s restaurant’s name. It’s no wonder that they continue to delight the epicurean world with their delectable creations such as this red tuna served tataki style with bagna cauda dressing and pistachio crumble for an interesting mouthfeel.

10. Pan-fried Organic Kurobuta Pork

Susur Lee from Tunglok Heen is a bold traverser of new flavours as he earns his reputation for being one of the world’s most creative chefs by combining Asian flavours with Western techniques, producing daringly delicious fusion food. Check out his pan-fried organic kurobuta pork that is sure to have you wanting more!
