1. Mark your anniversary with a romantic dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant — table65

Helmed by celebrated chefs Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot of critically acclaimed Two MICHELIN Star Restaurant 212 in Amsterdam, table65 offers an exquisite fine-casual culinary experience that will stimulate all your senses.

It is fine dining without the typical formality that confines the experience. Plus, the ambient mood lighting, the intimate interior decor, and chic furniture, set the mood for a romantic evening even before you dig into your meal.

Add a little bit of excitement to your date and take a seat at the open kitchen where you can watch the talented chefs prepare your meal before your eyes and feel free to engage in light conversation as you enjoy a glass of table65’s signature cocktails (non-alcoholic options are available too).

When your food arrives, you’ll realise just how indulgent every plate of food is at table65. Using the finest seasonal and local produce, the set menu features elegant and inventive dishes that reveal Dutch, French and Japanese influences.

Arguably their most famous dish and a must-try would be Apple —  a stunning transparent sugar glass bubble encasing a core made of green apple sorbet with chocolate ‘pips’ on a puff pastry base that is sure to evoke fascination from the apple of your eye (pun intended) and the perfect way to end the date night.

2. Celebrate your birthday at CURATE CUCINA PISANA

Led by Pisan native chef, Chef de Cuisine Davide Bizzarri, CURATE CUCINA PISANA is known for being Singapore’s first restaurant that specialises in creations from Pisa (yes, Pisa as in the Leaning Tower of Pisa!).

With most of their ingredients imported from Tuscany, the restaurant’s authentic Pisan menu allows your palette to visit the sunny shores of Italy. Couple that with the cozy, rustic Italian atmosphere, you will feel as though you are celebrating your birthday in Italy even though you are in Singapore.

Our favourite dish is the restaurant’s signature pasta dish, Fusilli di Pisa — featuring unique Pisa Tower-shaped Fusilli pasta with fresh Boston lobster, sweet Tomberry, and green zucchini, finished with lashings of Sardinia’s saffron cream sauce. With every bite, you can taste a hearty burst of flavour that will keep you coming back for more.

Make sure to end your birthday celebration on a sweet note with an array of incredible sweet treats to pick from, including classic tiramisu, poached pears, and more. The Torta co’ BischeriIf, a delightful cake that is made with rich Italian chocolate, is another must-try dessert!

3. Reward yourself with the flavours of Japan at Syun

Celebrate getting promoted or closing that big business deal by indulging in a feast of flavours at award-winning Syun (Tatler Dining Best Restaurants 2020/21 Special), one of our favourite Japanese restaurants in Singapore.

Under the watchful guidance of Chef Yamashita, Syun offers diners a chance to experience the diverse flavours of Japan through innovative Nouvelle Japanese cuisine.

At Syun, diners will be treated to an incredible selection of exceptional sushi, various types of meat, including premium wagyu beef, and even seasonal recipes | Image credit: Resorts World Sentosa

Apart from the stunning food, Syun also charmed us with its classy and immersive atmosphere. The ornamental decor, from the furniture to the paintings and even the lighting, made us feel like we had actually stepped into a restaurant in downtown Tokyo!

Add to that the grandeur of dining at a Japanese restaurant and you have the perfect place to celebrate a job promotion or to toast (Syun offers a fine selection of Japanese whiskeys) to a successful day at work.

4. Gather with friends at Osia Steak and Seafood Grill

As Malaysians will know, we love our weekend cookouts with friends. At another recipient of Tatler Dining Best Restaurants 2020/21 Special award, Osia Steak and Seafood Grill, you can enjoy that similar lively atmosphere AND feast on rustic Australian cooking at its absolute finest!

The rustic dishes on the menu are served in generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Whether you prefer juicy tomahawk steaks or sumptuous king prawns, we’re sure you’ll enjoy every last bite of your hearty meal.

Besides offering a fine selection of grilled meat and seafood (most of which are imported straight from Australia!), the restaurant also houses a premium selection of Antipodean wines to go with your meal — simply put, everything you need for a memorable gathering with your friend is here at Osia Steak and Seafood Grill.

5. Commemorate your achievements with loved ones at Feng Shui Inn

For most Malaysians, growing up, every major achievement in life (graduation, landing your first job, scoring incredible exam results etc.) was swiftly followed by a family meal to celebrate — and in our opinion, one of the best places for this is none other than Feng Shui Inn

As you dine and make merry with your family, you’ll be transported to a world of yum by Chef Li Kwok Kwong’s masterful take on Cantonese cuisine. From freshly made dim sum to flavourful double-boiled soups, and even the famous Hong Kong-style succulent roast meats, every bite will be a moment to savour!

As you watch the chefs prepare your meal, we’re sure you’ll start salivating.

To add even more joy to the occasion, you can even watch as the skilled chef and his team prepare your food via the open kitchen!

An incredible world of fine dining awaits
