Extending over a surface of 4,152 sq km, Danube Delta is the second largest and best preserved delta in Europe. Its river that flows into the Black Sea is the most international river in the world. It runs across the countries of Romania, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and the cities of Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade.
