Found along the unpaved road linking Morondava and Belo Tsiribihina in Madagascar, the magical backdrop of baobabs gives life and splendour to its desolate setting. Long time ago, the baobabs don’t live in isolation but due to deforestation and other human activities, the once verdant area became barren. Only the baobabs survived there for more than 800 years.

Some private organizations are now making efforts to protect and preserve the site so baobab trees can still be admired by the generations to come. Today, the eye-catching ‘Avenue of the Baobabs’ attracts many visitors from all over the world. If well-preserved, it could become Madagascar’s first natural monument.
Plan your adventure to Africa to view the majestic trees before they’re gone.
