Day One: Off to Fiji!

Gather at the airport and prepare to board your Fiji Airways flight to the South Pacific. The flight is perfectly scheduled such that you can have a good night’s rest after having your dinner, ready to start your adventure in the morning all refreshed and recharged!

Day Two: Postcard-perfect Mamanuca Islands

Upon arriving bright and early at Nadi International Airport, check in to Denarau Island, the largest integrated resort area in the South Pacific, west of the main island of Viti Levu. Fuss-free travellers, you’ll be delighted to know that it is less than 10km from the airport!

Boasting eight large resorts, stunning beaches, an 18-hole championship golf course and a marina that offers short boat trips out to the Mamanuca Islands, Denarau Island has something for every traveller. Whether it is going on a shopping spree, playing outdoor water sports, or experiencing some of the best dining Fiji has to offer, you’ll find it all at Denarau Island.

A short distance away from the western coast of Viti Levu, the Mamanuca island group is one of Fiji’s most renowned chain of islands, drawing thousands of travellers young and old to its sugar white beaches every year.

Featured in Hollywood movies Castaway and The Blue Lagoon, the Mamanucas have clear waters ideal for snorkelling or diving and is home to world-class surf breaks such as Fiji’s most iconic wave – the Cloudbreak. These Insta-worthy islands are also ideal for parasailing, windsurfing, and dolphin-watching.

Couples on honeymoon, families, and friends can also catch an island-hopping tour from Denarau Marina to explore the likes of Monuriki Island (where Tom Hanks filmed Castaway), Mana Island and Malolo Lailai. Stay for the mesmerising sunset viewed from one of these islands to draw a perfect end to your day.

Day Three: Literally on Cloud 9

Ever dreamed of devouring pizza and cocktails while floating on crystal-clear water? You can do so on Cloud 9, Fiji’s two-level floating platform with an Italian wood-fired pizzeria and fully stocked bar in the middle of the ocean.

Located out in the middle of the turquoise blue waters of Vanua Malolo amongst the Mamanuca Islands, this picturesque venue has a surround sound system on all sides, sun decks, hanging chairs and day beds. You can spend some quality me-time idling your day away at this restaurant located 45 minutes away from Port Denarau by speedboat.

Day Four: Cultural Heart of Fiji in Sigatoka Town

Embark on a 1.5-hour scenic drive along the Queen’s Highway from Nadi and make a stop over at Coral Coast, named for the large fringing reef along the coast.

Continue your journey passing through richly vegetated hills and valleys to Sigatoka town that sits at the mouth of the Sigatoka River. Sigatoka is known for its high production of fruits and vegetables, earning the title ‘Salad Bowl of Fiji’.

To explore Sigatoka in depth, hop on a Sigatoka River Safari guided tour on a jet boat along the Sigatoka River and visit a local village for a culturally immersive experience. The welcoming locals will bring you around their homes, perform a kava ceremony (a local custom of serving kava, the national drink of Fiji), share a meal and dance together with you!

After which, cruise your way up the picturesque Sigatoka River to visit authentic Fijian villages and experience a day in the life of a true ‘kaiviti’ (Fijian).

In the late afternoon, set off with a hike or trek to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park, Fiji’s first National Park established in 1987. Aside from its magnificent beauty, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes have a rich history where archaeologists have uncovered pottery and human bones of more than two millennia old. It is also the gruelling training ground of the Olympic gold medal-winning Fiji Rugby 7s team that will be in Singapore on 13 and 14 April for the HSBC Singapore Rugby 7s 2019.

Day Five: An Eco-Adventure at Zip Fiji and The Garden of the Sleeping Giant

Located around 50 minutes from Denarau Island, Zip Fiji in Momi is an unprecedented adventure of a 5km zip line woven into a truly spectacular wilderness setting of caves, canyons, and mountaintops. You’ll get to experience three different ecosystems of Fiji – the upper part of the mountains abundant with old growth Vesi trees, the field of hardwood trees, and the lower section of the mountain with rain trees and caves.

After a morning of adrenaline, hop on a 1-hour ride to discover the horticultural secrets of Fiji at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. The Garden, which contains a vast collection of more than 2,000 varieties of magnificent Asian orchids and Cattleya hybrids, was once the private collection of the late American actor Raymond Burr.

Picture yourself wandering along the canopy-covered boardwalk, through gorgeously landscaped lawns, across calm lily ponds complete with trickling fountains and croaking frogs, and finally into the heart of a dense rainforest – isn’t it simply spellbinding?

Day Six: Saying Goodbye to the Home of Happiness

Round up your final day with a culinary experience in Fiji! A tantalising blend of fresh produce, aromatic spices and local cooking methods, Fijian cuisine remains a mystery to most but is, in fact, reminiscent of our favourite Southeast Asian dishes.

Have a sumptuous local breakfast that’s sure to linger on your taste buds and memory before checking out of your hotel – making preparations to head back home from Nadi International Airport with your stomachs filled and hearts full.
