Here is a way to have a budget-saving Europe trip without compromising any fun!

Our travel route: Iceland🇮🇸– France🇫🇷 – Czech Republic🇨🇿 – Hungary🇭🇺 – United Kingdom🇬🇧

Total expense was RM7,545, excluding food and shopping.

✈️🚍🚘 TRANSPORTATION

Here are the flight routes and bus routes we took and their costs:

✈️Bintulu – Kuala Lumpur – London Heathrow Airport: RM2,631.90 (Malaysia Airlines)

✈️London Gatwick Airport – Keflavik, Iceland: RM236.30, including 20kg checked baggage allowance (WOW air)

✈️Keflavik – Paris, France: RM430.10, including 20kg checked baggage allowance (WOW air)

✈️Paris – Prague, Czech Republic: RM192.50, including 15kg checked baggage allowance (Transavia)

🚌Prague – Budapest, Hungary: RM78 (RegioJet)

✈️Budapest – London: RM195, including 20kg checked baggage allowance (Easyjet)

TOTAL COST: RM3,763.80/pax

⛔️Attention when you travel by plane✈️

1. Boarding Time: Be prepared for long queues at check-in counters and a long walk to the boarding gate

2. Baggage Size: Make sure that you comply with the baggage size requirements set by the various airlines as the check for baggage size is very strict in Europe.

3. Liquid Bottles: You can choose to check-in all your liquids stuff to save the troubles, otherwise you will need to make sure that all your liquid items are under 100ml and properly labelled.

Morning: Blue Lagoon
Afternoon & Evening: Golden Circle (Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Geysir Geothermal Area)
Night: Stay overnight in Reykjavik

11 Feb

Morning: City centre of Reykjavik, Hallgrimskirkja Church
Noon & Evening: Foss A Sidu
Night: Hunting Northern Light at Kirkjubaejarklaustur

12 Feb

Morning: Spent our time in hot tub at Eldhraun Holiday Home
Noon & Evening: Moss in Iceland, Skogafoss Waterfall, Godafoss Waterfall, Hvannadalshnukur, Jokulsarlon, Diamond Beach
Night: Depart to Reykjavik (from Hofn it was a 5-hour drive)
***3 full days in Iceland is kind of rushed so it is better to at least have 4 full days***

💡TIPS in Iceland
✔️Get a mobile data so you do not need to rent GPS for your car🚗 .
✔️You do not need to bring so much cash as most of the time you will be using your cards💳.

Morning: Castle Hill
Noon & Evening: Kutna Hora (we lost our way to the Bones Church, a UNESCO Heritage, and got back to Prague without any highlights)

Morning: Depart to the Bus Station
Night: Arrival in Budapest

💣Be Careful with the foreign currency exchange stores in Prague as most of them charge commission. Find those without commision charges.

Morning: St Stephen Basilica, Hungarian Parliament, Danube River
Noon: Jewish Quarter
Evening: Szechenyi Bath, Szimpla Kert (Ruin Bars)

Morning: Market Hall
Noon & Evening: Castle District (Buda Castle, Matthias Church, The Fisherman’s Bastion), McDonald’s for dinner at Nyugati Station, night views of Chain Bridge and Parliament

Morning: City Centre
Noon: Going to the airport

Morning: Leaving Sheffield
Noon: We were stuck in Primark for whole day due to the Debbie Storm. So it was a shopping day!

Noon & Evening: Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, China Town, Oxford Street
Night: Tower Bridge night view
