Behold! ANA’s Star Wars Themed Plane Arrives in Changi Airport Today

The Force is definitely with us now that the R2-D2 ANA Jet is here!

The Force is definitely with us now that the R2-D2™ ANA jet has lowered its wheels on our very own tarmac!

My friend literally cried after watching the trailer of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is set to show in theatres on 17 December 2015. He had described it as “highly emotional” and even said that he had been waiting for this his entire life. Well, I’m sure other Star Wars fans can agree that this movie will be ground-breaking.

From today till the 14 Nov, the X-Wing Fighter exhibit can be found at Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall and the TIE Fighter exhibit will be at Terminal 2 Departure Hall. At  11.30am, there will be Stormtroopers parading from one exhibit to the other!

If you’re in the area, head on down to see the characters come to life!

The aircraft’s interior has been designed with a Star Wars theme,  from the headrests, paper napkins and to the cups! Now, what if I told you that some lucky people actually get to enter the R2-D2™ ANA Jet FOR FREE and without buying an actual air ticket? The lucky ones will get to see the aircraft up close and personal, sit in the business class seats and even watch some Star Wars episodes while enjoying their in-flight meal, taking in the full in-flight entertainment experience.

ANA’s vice president of Marketing and Sales Asia & Oceania, Mitsuo Tomita said, “The R2-D2™ ANA Jet has received tremendous interest from around the globe, and we are delighted to be able to partner Changi Airport to share this exclusive experience with fans in Singapore.”

The R2-D2™ ANA Jet, apart from domestic routes in Japan, will fly between Tokyo and parts of Canada, US, Europe, Australia, China and Indonesia.
