On March 24th, the winners of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants were unveiled during a virtual ceremony streamed live on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ Facebook page and YouTube channel. For the second year in a row, a Singapore-based establishment retains first place. Odette is a French fine-dining restaurant located at the National Gallery Singapore.
Chef-owner of Odette, Julien Royer, said: “It’s a challenging time for us all in the food and beverage industry. It’s difficult to celebrate at the moment, but we take this as a sign of positivity and optimism for us.”
As the Covid-19 pandemic continue to prevail, William Drew, Director of Content for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants also added that as we are all experiencing unprecedented times, “it is more important than ever to support restaurants all over the continent in their recovery, to recognise each other’s achievements over the last 12 months and broadcast a message of solidarity.”
